A Telegram Invitation

An experience instead of a thing: a personal telegram summons to Dovlatov’s real communal flat. You choose the format — a tour, the play, the immersive evening or the literary dinner — and we prepare the telegram in the guest’s name. The date is theirs to choose.

How it works

01You choose the formatA tour, the play, the immersive evening or the literary dinner — and whose name the summons is for. The request takes a minute: the short form below, an email or a call.
02We prepare the telegramIn the guest’s name, with a summons number and a postmark — made by hand and sent by email within the day. The telegram can be forwarded in a messenger or printed and put in an envelope.
03You give itIn an envelope, with flowers or simply as a message. There is no amount on the telegram — only «paid»: the guest learns where they are invited, not what it cost.
04The guest names the dateThey write or call us, give the summons number and pick a day from the schedule. A year to get ready: hurrying guests is not the custom of this house.

Addressing the doubts

Why this is the best gift

An experience, not a thingA thing ends up on a shelf; an evening in Dovlatov’s real communal flat becomes a story told for years.
No awkwardness about moneyThe telegram shows no price — only the word «paid». The gift reads as a gesture, not a receipt.
No need to guess the dateYou don’t tie anyone to a date: the guest picks a day that suits them. A year in hand.
Nobody else will send thisA personalised telegram with a postmark and a summons number — an artefact of the era, not a card from a template.

«We prepare telegrams the way the post office did: by hand, one at a time — and send them within the day».

Frequently asked questions

How soon will the telegram arrive?
We prepare it within the day after payment: you get a screen version for messaging apps and a print version for an envelope. If the gift is needed today, call +7 931 109-12-35 and we will try to make it in time.
Can the recipient see the price?
No. The telegram does not state the amount — only the word «paid». The guest learns where they are invited, not what it cost.
How do I pay?
On the site, when you place the order: a payment page opens — by SBP or in instalments with Yandex Split. The receipt arrives by email straight after payment, the personalised telegram within the day. The telegram shows no amount.
How does the guest choose a date?
The telegram carries its number and the museum’s phone: the guest writes or calls, gives the number — and picks any date from the schedule. The telegram is valid for a year.
How will I receive the telegram?
The screen version arrives by email — you can forward it to the recipient straight away. The print version is a high-resolution file laid out for an A5 sheet: it prints at home or at the nearest copy shop in five minutes. If you would like to hand over one printed by us, say so when ordering and we will arrange the handover.
Can I add a line of my own?
Of course. We will add your signature or a personal line in telegraph style — we will place the COMMAs and STOPs ourselves. Just say when ordering who the summons is from.
What if the guest wants a different format?
No problem: the format can be changed at booking. If they want the play instead of a tour, write to us — we will work out the difference and settle it.
What if the visit never happens?
First we will offer to extend it or pass it on to someone else — the telegram does not lapse. If the plans are cancelled altogether, we will refund the payment: the right to withdraw is set out in the museum’s offer and in consumer protection law.
What if the year is up and the guest still hasn’t got round to it?
Write to us — we will extend it. We are not the post office, we are neighbours: the telegram does not lapse as long as someone remembers it.
Can it be for a group rather than two?
Yes, for any number of guests — from one to a full communal flat. Tell us when ordering: we’ll work out the price and put it in the telegram.
